I’m a Southern California native with a growing love for the Pacific Northwest after living here for the past 2 years. My background is in the music industry and event management, but food is my true love! I’m interested in both performance/sports nutrition and oncology and love to explore the powerful impact food and nutrition can have on the body. When I’m not roaming the halls of Bastyr or studying you can most likely find me in the kitchen baking or cheering on my USC Trojans during football season. I also love to hike, explore, and run when the weather is beautiful, or find a hot yoga class and a good book for the rainy days.

I am a proud Gopher graduate from the University of Minnesota, where I majored in neuroscience and was a neurooncology immunology researcher. It was there that I learned two of the most important lessons in my life: food is medicine and holistic healthcare is the key to making people healthy in conjunction with allopathic medicine. I try to never lose sight of how research affects the way we treat patients in our field, while also dual-tracking in Ayurveda to understand a different approach. I love to climb and practice yoga…if you see me in the hall, say hi and you will be greeted with positivity during your very special journey.

Prior to attending Bastyr, I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in History and spent 13 years serving in the Air Force. My passion for learning everything I can about food and nutrition has brought me to this point in my life. I like trying new recipes, hiking, running, biking, dancing, and enjoying life with everyone around me.

Before attending Bastyr, I earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science from Grand Valley State University and worked as an intern for a lobbyist firm on Capitol Hill. My interest in nutrition stems my love for cooking, an interest in food policy, and a mission restore optimal health to my community. I enjoy exploring international cuisine, travelling to new places, and time spent outside.
